The municipality of Santa Eulària des Riu lies on the east of the island of Ibiza, which makes it warmer.

Santa Eulària has the only river on the island of Ibiza and the Balearic archipelago. The village of Santa Eulària is on its left bank and from its mouth you can see a hill crowned by the Puig de Missa (a sixteenth-century fortress-church).

Santa Eulària holds the UNICEF "Child Friendly City" distinction for its efforts to ensure the well-being of families, children and youngsters in education, economy, culture and leisure.

The Town Council of Santa Eulària des Riu has worked for more than 50 years to develop an excellent and wide range of choices for visiting families: certified quality beaches, bike and hiking routes, water activities and cultural programs such as the Barruguet Festival of Family Theater.
